POEMASSÍDUO - COLETIVO ARTÍSTICO is a social enterprise based in Gaia, Porto, Portugal focused on promoting social participation through arts and cultural activism.
We provide quality art programmes for all ages.
The Charter for Arts in Education sets out a number of clear principles and guidelines including that arts engagement;
1. Enables the young participant to explore alternative ways of communicating
2. Encourages ideas that are personal and inventive
3. Makes a vital contribution to the development of a range of intelligences
4. Is life enhancing and is invaluable in stimulating creative thinking and in promoting capability and adaptability
5. Emphasises the creative process and ensures that the work is personal and has quality
6. Ensures artistic expressions are valued, self-esteem is enhanced, spontaneity and risk-taking are encouraged, and difference is celebrated.
We partner with Spittoon Arts Collective to organize international writing events to foster artistic cooperation.
